In association with AD China and Design Shanghai, Infrastructure established the AD China & Design Shanghai Emerging Chinese Designer Platform, an internationally recognised design development programme in 2015. With a noted and impassioned support of emerging designers, Infrastructure’s involvement extends beyond the AD China campaign, mentoring talent and forging relationships.

Seeking new, undiscovered talent from across China, the platforms mandate is to showcase young designers, and provide ongoing support, media exposure and mentoring to drive innovation within the regional design community. Successful winners and participants have gone on to exhibit internationally and have been supported in the development of retail relationships.

As an extension of our ongoing work to support the evolution of the design industry our collaboration with AD China and Design Shanghai gives young designers a voice within China and internationally. Working closely with AD China we deliver a steam-lined event programme through sponsorship development, planning, ongoing design support and business mentorship that gives the participant access to the global design community and media exposure.

Our work with AD China is driven by strong creative and design values. Our creative consultancy drives through all aspects of our partnership – from concept development of the content and messaging to also including the physical build and design of all related spaces throughout the Design Shanghai emerging designer platform.
